Zhao Xintong vs Ding Junhui
In a sport that has been dominated by players from across the Home Nations for much of its existence, it has been challengers from China that have led the charge to bridge that over the last couple of decades or so.
One player who has been leading that charge since joining the world tour way back in 2003 is Ding Junhui.
Known as the Dragon, Junhui seemed to be destined to be the first Chinese players to win a world championship as whilst he has come close, including been a runner up, he never made that step up to actually win the event.
Despite that, he is a multiple time world numberer 1 ranked player, he has made hundreds of centuries, and he won many ranking and minor level tournaments across his career to make him one of the most successful players ever to put a waistcoat on.
As many will know, it was Zhao Xintong who went on to become the first ever Chinese Snooker world champion when he won the 2025 edition as a qualifier.
In a dominant display against Mark Williams, he showed his incredible talent that had struggled under the pressure off of the table issues but now that he can fully focus on the sport he loves, this matchup is set up to be an incredible occasion.
If you want to be entertained, make sure you want the action live via one of the incredible services found on this page that each allow you to watch Snooker live.

This is also a match that will grab the attention of all Chinese Snooker fans as whilst there are now many matches featuring one of your fellow countrymen, there are few when it is an all-Chinese battle.

Where You Can Watch
For those who are new to the sport, you will know just how frustrating it can be to watch the matches that you want to watch live as more and more tournaments are moved to pay to watch sports channels.
Even if you are in the fortunate position to have an ongoing and ever increasingly expensive subscription to the channel that has the rights to broadcast the tournament that the match you want to watch will take place at, you may still not be able to watch the action live.
There can be a few different reasons for that including the way that Snooker tournaments are set up, where there are often more than one match taking place at the same time, from the same venue.
That often leads broadcasters having to choose between matches and choosing another one over the one you want to watch.
Another issue is the lack of time limits to the matches in the sport as by the time that you tune in to watch the action, it may be over, especially if the match finishes in a whitewash.
More and more tournaments now get broadcast on smaller and smaller channels, including ones that are not known for their sports output, and that can make it tricky for fans to find the action they want to watch.
By the time you have found the name of the channel that will show the match, then you figure out if you have access to it or not and then you actually tune in, the match will likely be partially through and you may even have missed out on the best shot or the key frame in the match.
Some tournaments are of course shown on mainstream free-to-air tv channels but even those can make it tricky for fans to watch the matches they want to as it is can often be the case that match starts off on the main channel before moving to a lesser-channel, the red button option or worst of all, the rest of the action can only be watch on alate night highlights package.
