Why You Should Watch

It features many of the biggest clubs in the world, most of the top players and lots of big names having their final swansong.
The controversial move to the larger format has left many to simply claim that this tournament to be a cash grab and a way of giving the biggest clubs more money to stop break away leagues from starting up including the Super League in Europe.
In truth the tournament, well it’s a cash grab to give more money to the top clubs but that doesn’t mean there won’t be lots of great action and although most players will likely wish they were on a beach somewhere, by the time it comes to the knock out stages, that will to win should see decent tempo and exciting matches.
