Estoril Open Tennis
The Estoril Open is a professional tennis tournament, based in the town of Estoril in the Cascais district of the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon, that takes place on the men’s ATP Tour.
The current day event was established in 2015, in the wake of the demise of the Portugal Open, which was held in the same event so whilst the Estoril Open is a relatively new tournament on the tour, it does have a more established history in the coastal resort region of the beautiful city of Lisbon (Lisboa).
The matches at the event are played on outdoor hardcourts at the compact Clube de Tenis do Estoril in Cascais whilst the tournament has a ranking of an ATP Tour 250 Series level event on the ATP Tour.
The tournament offers a good prize fund, especially for a tournament of the ranking level as the Estoril Open and with a great location, it is no surprise that the event attracts a good field of top stars to Lisbon for a great week of tennis that fans can enjoy live online.

ATP Estoril
The Estoril Open was established from the ruins of the former Portugal Open by former Dutch tennis player Benno van Veggel and the infamous football agent Jorge Mendes.
The tournament’s location on the coast near to the city of Lisbon helps the tournament attract many household names including many clay court specialists and that often lead to an entertaining event full of quality tennis and lots of match up that have never been seen before or that are rarely seen on the tour.
That makes it a good option not just for clay court tournament fans but for tennis fans in general.
The inaugural event was held in 2015 when it was Richard Gasquet of France who took on and defeated Australian star Nick Kyrgios in the final to pick up the first ever Estoril Open title.
Amongst the other singles winners of the tournament have been Nicolas Almagro (who won an all-Spanish final against compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta in 2016) and Pablo Carreno Busta, who turned that loss around to defeat Gilles Muller of Luxembourg just a year later.
The 2018 tournament was a good one for fans in attendance as not only did Joao Sousa become the first player from the host nation of Portugal to reach the final, but he became the first home star to win the event when he picked up the title by defeating Frances Tiafoe of the United States of America in straight sets.
Stefanos Tsitsipas become the youngest winner of the tournament in 2019 when the Greek star defeated Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay.
In the 2022 edition, it was Sebastian Baez of Argentina who won the title by defeating Frances Tiafoe of the USA in the final.
As you can see from the list above, the tournament attracts a good quality field for the singles event and that is the same for the doubles event, which the tournament also offers fans, as it features a mix of both doubles specialists and singles stars who are doing double duty.
The winners of the inaugural title in Cascais were the duo of Treat Huey (of the Philippines) and Scott Lipsky (of the United States of America) who teamed up to defeat the all-Spanish duo of Marc Lopez and David Marrero.
Scott Lipsky also won the 2016 edition of the event alongside new partner Eric Butorac (also of the USA) against the all-Polish duo of Lukasz Kubot and Marcin Matkowski, to become the first player to defend his title at the event.
It has been in the doubles side of the draw that has seen the most success for British stars with the all-British duo of Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie defeating Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands and Artem Sitak of New Zealand to become the first British winners the event.
In just the next edition of the tournament, the all-British duo of Luke Bambridge and Jonny O’Mara lost out in the final against the all-French duo of Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin.
No matter if you are wanting to watch the great singles or doubles action live from the Estoril Open tennis tournament you can do via the great live streaming services found on this page that allow you to pick and choose the action that you want to watch.
That takes away the frustration of trying to watch a tennis tournament such as this one live on British television.
As any tennis fan will likely know, an event such as this maybe shown live on a sports tv channel but that will likely need an expensive and ongoing subscription and even then the chances are that only a limited number of matches will be shown.
That can often lead to fans missing out on the match up that they are the most interested in watching or missing out on their favourite player but you need never miss any of the great action again.
If you do decide to watch the tournament live via one of the great streaming services of the online bookmakers that we feature, you will need to be aged 18 or over and have a funded account but you can then watch live tennis not just from this event but from tournaments held all season long from across the globe on both the ATP Tour and the WTA Tour.
