History
The current Serbian Superliga (Serbian Super League) started up in 2006 when it was the giants of Red Star Belgrade (Fudballski klub Crvena Zvezda) who would become the inaugural champions, with fellow giants of the Serbian league Partizan finishing in 2nd.
It was Partizan who would then go on to dominate things, with their first league title coming in the 2007-08 season which would be the start of 6 straight league championships.
It would be Red Star who would end that winning run in the 2013-14 season before the 2 would swop titles over the next few years before Red Star would be the club to dominate things starting from the 2017-18 season.
