Watch British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix is the highlight of the Formula 1 season for the majority of British fans and thankfully it is a race that more often than not delivers.
The race is one of the most historic after first been held in 1926 and after a number of changes of venue, including racing at Aintree and Brooklands, the British Grand Prix is now firmly established at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.
Not only is the track one of the best for racing action but it is also one of the most important for the sport as many teams are based in and around the towns and villages near to Silverstone.
Silverstone has one of the largest capacities of any racetrack, with up to 150,000 fans in attendance come race day and that helps create a great atmosphere, something that is sadly lacking at many Grand Prix’s.
As well as hosting Formula 1 every year, Silverstone is home to just about every major championship in motor racing so it is no surprise that many aspects of the track are iconic for racing fans with corners such as Stowe, Maggots, Copse and Brooklands instantly recognisable.
What Can We Watch?
You can watch all of the key action from each and every race weekend including all 3 practise sessions, qualifying and of course the actual race itself live.
British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix was first held in 1926 and has been run annually ever since 1948 so it is no surprise that it is one of the most recognisable races in F1.
The British GP started life at Brooklands but it soon moved to Silverstone, before it alternated with the Northamptonshire track and Aintree Circuit at the famous horse racing track. In the 60’s-80’ Brands Hatch replaced Aintree as the alternate for the race before Silverstone once again became the standalone home of the British GP in 1987.
Since then the track has undergone lots of chances as have the surrounds of the course with a whole new home straight, pit garages and much improved facilities for teams, fans and the media but the circuit has thankfully retained its charm and its great racing that makes it a must watch not just for ardent racing fans but for sport fans as this is one of the standouts of the UK sporting calendar.
