Watch Monza Grand Prix

The Italian Grand Prix is one of the oldest National Grand Prix’s and it is just 1 of 2 races, alongside the British GP, that have run every year since the formation of Formula 1 in 1950.

The race takes place at the equally historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Monza just to the north of Milan which has been the long term home of the Italian GP with the first race been held in 1922.

Since those days, when the track featured huge banked sections and a lap was over 6 miles long, Monza has changed dramatically but it is still an incredibly fast track, with limited corners, which can lead to exciting action.

It also means that the teams simply have to set up their cars for speed and that simplified set up can allow all of the teams to be at their best.
