The Nice Open, or Open de Nice Côte d’Azur to give the tournament its full title, is an ATP 250 series tournament held in the city of Nice on the Cote d’Azue in the South of France.

As a 250 series tournament the ice Open features top stars as well as a mixture of good pros and up and coming youngsters.

This often leads to a number of shocks and some great action that is often overlooked side of France as the tournament used to be difficult for tennis fans to watch live.

The Nice Open has been won by the likes of Ernests Gulbis and Richard Gasquet in the past with local favourite Gael Monfils featuring in the final.

Having first been held in 1971, the tournament wasn’t held between 1996 and 2009 but since it has returned to the tour, the Nice Open has proven to be a tournament to watch.
