Ronnie O’Sullivan Snooker Live
Ronnie O’Sullivan is one of the greatest ever players to show there skills on the green baize and almost form the very start of his career, he has been breaking record after record after record.
Throughout the early part of his career, it was Stephen Hendry who was ‘The Rockets’ biggest rival and that rivalry went on to push both players to change the sport of Snooker forever.
Gone were the days of all players relying on strong safety and defensive skills, Hendry and O’Sullivan took the game to their opponent and showed that attack was just as good if not better than defence.
That attacking prowess led to Ronnie breaking records early on as he became the youngest ever winner of a ranking event (the 1993 UK Championship at age 17 358 days) before becoming the youngest winner of the Masters (aged 19 and 69 days in 1995).
Since then, Ronnie has gone on to win everything there is to win in the sport including multiple World Championships. He has also been the number 1 ranked player in the world on multiple occasions and perhaps most impressively, he became the first ever player to score over 1000 centuries.

History
Ronnie O’Sullivan is thought to have started playing the sport when he was just 7 years of age and it didn’t take him long to start enjoying success as by the age of 9, he had won his first club tournament.
At the age of 10 he made his first competitive century and at just the age of 13, he was the British under-16 champion.
One of his most impressive moments came at the 1991 English Amateur Championship where at the age of just 15 years and 98 days of age, he made his first ever maximum break.
It was no surprise that he turned professional at just 16 and during the first part of his career, he won an incredible 74 of 76 qualifying matches.
Another standout moment came at his first ever World Championship when he made it through to the tv stages in just his first ever professional season, where he made his Crucible debut at just 17 years of age.
Later in the same year, he became the youngest winner of ranking even when he won the 1993 UK Championship just before his 18th birthday.
He became the youngest winner of the Masters tournament in 1995 and at the 1997 World Championship, he not only achieved his first ever professional 147 but he did it in a record of 5 minutes and 8 seconds.
Unfortunately, his career started to dip due to behavioural issues and drink/drug problems but after getting professional help, he started the new millennium back at his best and in 2001, Ronnie would become the World Champion for the first time and in the 2002/03 season, he would become the number 1 ranked player in the world.
Unfortunately, the rest of his career has been a battle between the almost other worldly Rocket Ronnie, the greatest snooker genius ever who can win every tournament that he enters and the real world Ronnie O’Sullivan, who struggles to keep his abusive nature and addictive tendencies in check.
When fully focussed, he remains the greatest player ever to take to the green baize and has won all that there is to win in the sport, including World Championship titles in 2001,2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020 and 2022.
