Watch Open 13 Tennis From Marseille Live

No matter if you know it as the Open 13, a reference to the INSEE code of the Bouches-du-Rhone department in which the host city of Marseille is the capital of, or as the ATP Marseille, the tennis tournament held early in the calendar and played in the south of France is one that any tennis fan should be watching.

First inaugurated in 1993, the tournament has a decent history and can attract many stars of the game so it is surprising just how little focus the event has across the channel in the United Kingdom.

Established by former tennis pro and local resident Jean-Francois Caujolle, who has also been a long term tournament director, the event attracts a good mix of both local talent and stars from across the globe to give great action throughout the whole event.

The tournament has had a steady home since its inception and it has really built a reputation as one of the best early season tournaments in Europe but that does not mean that there has not been a lot of change from the tournament held at the Palais des sports de Marseille.

Upon its formation, the event joined the main ATP Tour as an ATP World Series level event before becoming an ATP Internationals Series level event between 1998-2008.

With the big shake up of the ATP Our happening in 2009, the ATP Marseille moved to an ATP World Tour Series 250 Series level event and it has been at that level ever since.

That does of course mean that the ranking points on offer are relatively low but that has not stopped many top stars appearing and we are sure that that will continue into the future.

It also means that up and coming youngsters also get a chance to mix it with big stars and that can lead to break moments and exciting matches that may never have been seen before.

The quality of player that the event can attract can be seen in the players who have gone on to pick up the title in Marseille including Swiss star Marc Rosset, who won the first 2 tournaments, as well as Boris Becker in 1995, Thomas Enqvist in 1997, 1998 and 2002, Roger Federer in 2003, Gilles Simon in 2007 and 2015, Britain’s own Andy Murray in 2008, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2009, 2013 and 2017, Robin Soderling in 2011, Juan Martin del Potro in 2012, Nick Kyrgios in 2016 and Stefan Tsitsipas in 2019 and 2020.

As with the majority of tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, the ATP Marseille also features a doubles event alongside the singles event and this too can be enjoyed online via the live stream partners featured on this page.

In the singles event, it has been French players who have been the most dominant and it has also been a successful tournament for home favourites in the doubles event but it as also been a place for British stars to enjoy success throughout the tournaments existence.

Ken Skupski (alongside Robin Haase of The Netherlands) won the 2011 event, Colin Fleming (alongside Rohan Bopanna of India) won the 2013 whilst Jonathan Marray, Colin Flemming and Dominic Inglot have all reached the final on more than 1 occasion.

No matter if you would like to watch the singles event from the Open 13 tennis tournament in Marseille or the doubles events, it has never been easier to watch live online.

Unfortunately, despite all of the great talent on show and the fact that the event takes place at an easy time for us to watch in the UK, it can be a difficult and frustrating experience trying to find matches from the tournament to watch on British television.

Even if you have an expensive and ongoing subscription to pay tv channels that show sport and that feature tennis tournaments, the chances are that you will only have the chance to watch a select number of matches at best from the ATP Marseille.

Thankfully, our live streaming partners that feature on this page allow you to watch each and every match up from the Open 13 tennis tournament live online no matter if it is from the first round or the final or the singles event or the doubles event, you can watch it live.

If you decide to watch tennis live via one of the great live streaming services of the online bookmakers featured on this page, you will need to be aged 18 or over and you will need to have a funded account.
