Neil Robertson was born on the 11th of February in 1982 in the Victorian state of Melbourne, home to the Melbourne Storm Rugby League club, and in finding himself at the other side of the world to sports main base in the British Isles, it was in 2003 when he became well known to the most ardent fans on this side of the globe after winning the World Under-21 Snooker Championship although he had reached the third qualifying round of the 1999 World Championship and he had already made his first century in a tournament at just the age of 14.

He is not just a multiple time world number but he has also shown his great break building ability in making a number of 147 perfect breaks.

The left hander really made his breakthrough on the tour during the 2006-07 when he won his first ranking event, the 2006 Grand Prix in an event he knock out Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Since then he has gone on to win many events including the European Masters, the UK Championship, the Scottish Open, the World Grand Prix, the Welsh Open, the Champion of Champions, the Bahrain Championship, the China Open, the Riga Masters, the World Open and most impressively of all he has won the World Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

As you would expect from a player located so far away from the heartlands of the sport and even from the second biggest market in China, Neil Robertson had to show total commitment to the sport from the of and make the move away from his friends and family to the UK at a young age and he is still based in the country now.
