Carlos Alcaraz Tennis Live
Carlos Alcaraz is a Spanish professional tennis player, who is also known as Carlos Alcaraz Garfia due to Spanish naming customs, who has shone on the world ATP Tour almost from the moment that he first appeared.
If you are a fan of the big hitting star from Spain and want to watch his matches live online, the great news is that you can do just that via the streaming services found on this very page that allow you to watch tennis from across the globe including most ATP Tour level events.
Junior Career
As a junior, the Spaniard maybe didn’t hit the heights that he should have and that would show the world what a star he was to become but he still made it too a junior career high of 22 on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) circuit.
Professional Debut
Much of that lack of success could be down to the fact that he made the step up to the professional tour at an incredible young age when in 2020 he appeared at the RIO Open and incredibly defeated fellow countryman Albert Ramos Vinolas in the singles draw at the age of just 16.
That made the tennis world stand up and pay attention and highlighted just what a prospect he is so it was no surprise to see his career quickly rocket forward from there.
Grand Slam Debut
The 2021 season started off in the best possible way when he qualified for the first round of the Australian Open Grand Slam and just as he did on his tour debut, he would go on to win his Grand Slam debut against fellow qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp, before losing in the 2nd round.
Debut Season
Success in his debut season came in his home event at the Madrid Open when he became the youngest ever player to win a match at the event, something that he took away from Rafa Nadal and interestingly, it was Nadal who he faced a as reward for that win in the 2nd round, in a match he lost.
He was also competing on the Challenger circuit during 2021 and that led to the biggest win of his fledgling career when he picked up the title at the Open de Oeiras III in Portugal where the points for that win saw him enter the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time.
He would go on to have a successful French Open camepaign as well by reaching the 3rd round before picking up his first ever ATP Tour level title at the Croatia Open in Umag.
In doing so he became the youngest winner at that level since 2008 and the youngest to Spanish player to win a top tour level event since Rafa Nadal in 2004.
Continued Success
After a decent showing through the grass court season, it was at the 2021 US Open when he would grab the headlines once again when he defeated Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas to reach the 4th round and to become the youngest man to do that at a Grand Slam since 1992 and the youngest at the US Open since 1989.
At the end of season Next Gen ATP Finals, he made it through the group stage undefeated and after defeating Sebastian Baez at the semi-final stage he would meet and defeat Sebastian Korda in the final to win the title.
Follow Up Season
After breaking on the main tour and enjoying a successful first season, so many young stars fall away and after losing some confidence, they drop down the rankings.
That didn’t happen for the Murcia star as he would pick up a big win at the Rio Open to break into the top 20 in the world.
First Success
In 2021, the young Spaniard would enjoy his first success on the main tour when he defeated top seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the final of the Croatia Open Umag. In doing so, he became the youngest winner on the ATP Tour since Kei Nishikori won the Delray Beach Open in 2008.
After a strong summer season, he went into the Next Gen ATP Finals full of confidence and after advancing to the final undefeated, he would defeat Sebastian Korda to pick up the title and to really announce himself on the world stage.
2022
After a disappointing start to the season at the Aus Open, he would soon put that behind him by picking up his first ever ATP 500 title at the Rio Open.
At the Miami Open, he defeated Casper Ruud to win his first ever Masters 1000 level title and the youngest winner in the tournaments history.
After a strong Barcelona Open performance, he would enter the world top 10 for the first tie before defeating both Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic at the Madrid Open to win the title.
That incredible level of performance continued into the US Open when he picked up his first ever Grand Slam title and in doing so, he became the world number 1, something he would hold onto until the end of the year and in doing so became the youngest ever end of year world number 1 and the first ever teenager.
